the best part of the story about Dick Cheney accidentally shooting his millionaire friend while they were hunting quail, is that he had a medical team that travels with him everywhere he goes that attended to this guy AND he had an ambulance on call that was able to arrive quickly.

If I didn't feel so bad for the guy that was shot, I might think that this is just the funniest thing ever. My husband heard that the woman who ownes the ranch was quoted as saying that this sort of thing happens all the time, that in fact she had been shot several times herself. See what I was saying (in my post) about dumb people making more money that us?

some dumb people just have the right connections that honest folk like ourselves do not have.

i do feel bad for that guy, but i'm so glad the media is pouncing on dick cheney over this.

it's just that as i read the article and got to the part about cheney's traveling medical team, i was rather amused, but then when i got to the part about him having an ambulance on call! i was absolutely beside myself with laughter and made john come immediately to read the article.

Thanks to you, I now picture our great (ha!ha!) Vice President walking with the Grim Reaper following him everywhere he goes. It's quite a site in my mind. Very Saturday Night Live-ish.
