my family room is now pretty much the same color as my livejournal background. we're so on an orange kick lately.
still haven't finished my reading on personality disorders. the thing with this psychopathology class is that i keep thinking of people that i've known in life that fit these disorders. i seem to have weeded a lot of them out over the years (you wouldn't believe how many came from Gastown) and the rest are generally relatives or in-laws. i'm pleased to say that most people i voluntarily interact with now are surprisingly normal. i suppose i should be concerned about the family streaks, but then again, i've always known the name Insana was in our history for a reason...

Date: 2005-10-27 12:55 am (UTC)From:ironically, i was told by a professor i had in vermont who also knew a lot about linguistics and shit like that that Pielecha is probably more Russian than Polish and that i don't want to know what it means. which of course made me really want to know what it means, but he never would tell me.
as for my own insanities, if anything, i'm a little OCD, but then the textbook also says it shares features with "Type A" personalities so it's easy to think that.

Date: 2005-10-28 05:12 pm (UTC)From:the Polish pronunciation, heard at various family funerals and from my new neighbors from Poland, definitely doesn't sound Italian.
i think i told dad it was Russian once and he didn't seem overly concerned.
