i'm too tired from driving my brother to the mechanic's and then to work and then having my first full day of work to say much, but i wanted to note this.
john passed his comps!!! he got a High Pass, which is apparently as good as it gets, and his advisor told him he did exceptionally well.
true to form, john freaks out about his papers and then aces them. lord, he ought to be loads of fun when it comes time for the dissertation.
