i need everyone to do me a favor. tonight after 11:00 (EST), go to the Rock Star: INXS website (www.rockstar.msn.com) and vote 100 times for everyone except Ty.

i have been disliking the guy since the beginning because he's just too over the top theatrical to be a rock star, but this week he sorta got stuck during song selection with "Everlong" by the Foo Fighters. i really wasn't thinking he could do a ballad at all anyway, but then he was saying he's never even heard of the song. how the hell can you claim to be seriously into rock and want to be a rock star if you've never heard one of the most popular radio songs that the Foo have put out? gah!

they really are so set on being heavy rockers that they haven't excelled at slower numbers overall. two weeks ago there was an issue over "The One I Love." folks, you can still sing something mellow and be good. that's part of the problem there. last night's show had them going through a vocal training clinic and few of them have any clue how to actually sing. rock hard, yes, but not actually sing.

at this point i'm rooting for Jordis, so extra votes for her.

and for the record, yes, i like my reality shows, but i love this one. kelly has referred to it as the raping of michael hutchence's soul, but i'm genuinely interested, and i'd go see INXS again if they had a singer i liked. so i feel i have a personal investment in it. plus it's like american idol with good songs, and none of that painful pull whoever off the street to look like assholes stuff. and although there's no simon, there is dave navarro.

I agree with the "raping of Michael Hutchence's soul" reference here, and shame on hottie Dave Navarro for being involved in this spectacle.
