i don't really understand why Montana acts like it's so southwestern. do they realize they border Canada?
i hate humidity, but the dry air up there was not doing me any favors either.
i both love and despise cats, but scott and beth's are just hilarious and weird. they're a marmalade/siamese mix that is stunning and interesting.
beth rescued a stray dog and we did find his owner. beth scolded her soundly for not having a collar for him. nice dog. he would have been a good friend for beezley. we also walked dogs at the animal shelter. i so want a coon hound. they were so great. thank god we were in montana and couldn't have taken them home or i so would have.
free beer tasting is great. john and i have decided we need to check with Alternative Brews and see if they carry Moose Drool. mmmm.
as always, flying is my least and most favorite part of a trip. i hate it and consider it a necessary evil, but on a clear day, it can be just awesome, especially over an interesting part of the country i've never seen before. i don't generally find mountains all that interesting (with the exception of Logan's Pass at Glacier National Park, of course), but from the air, they're awesome. we got to see Denver so that was neat. but the highlight was flying into Salt Lake City. from the air, you can see along the edge of the lake all sorts of freaky salt and mineral deposits and various colored algae. it's looks like this fabulously weird paint canvas. it was so cool.
got stuck in cincinatti for a bit. landed at 1, but it felt like 11. thank you time zone change. of course, waking up this morning sucked.
wasn't pleased to discover that mom forgot to stop in sunday to bring in the paper and water my plants. so i still had a bright orange plastic bagged newspaper sitting there for four days like a sign asking to please rob my house. and my fuschias are dead. oops.
anyway. off to letchworth for kelly's rehearsal and wedding.
