so i was chatting the other day with my friend angelo about homes we know are for sale (my next door neighbors that i've never met in two years, my mom's next door neighbors, and angelo's ex-boyfriend/my ex-friend paul) and he mentioned the weirdest factoid that i have to share.
angelo's mom's mom died when she was only two, but she's always felt some sort of connection with her. we catholics hold those things dear. so ang tells me that if you take the first letter of each street she's ever lived on, it spells her mom's name.
in order? yes, in order.
so i ask what her name was. he tells me it was stella, and then goes through all the streets and spells it out. i point out that he spelled out stela, only one l. yes, he says, that's the way she spelled it.
is that nuts or what?
she's been staying with him since his father died in march because she's in poor health and they're looking into other options for her. ang lives on ellicott creek so he's going to see if his grandmother's middle name or maiden name started with an e, but we also figure it doesn't entirely count because it's not her legal residence.
