so in some sort of freakish weather pattern, it's been hotter than hell in buffalo for the past week or two, making working with 50 sweaty children an unpleasant experience. we have one room that is currently air conditioned thanks to our current construction and having them all in there at once is not a viable option.
anyway. to give you all an idea of just how hot it's been, let me tell you about something i saw yesterday. it did finally rain for about 20 minutes pretty heavily in the afternoon. it stopped by the time the kids started to arrive, but when i went out to get the first few off the bus, i noticed that the entire parking lot was steaming. the blacktop had been so hot that the rain actually caused it to steam for almost an hour while it dried up. that was crazy.
looking forward to the turn the weather will be taking back to the low 70s starting tomorrow.
