List five songs that you are currently digging ... it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words or if they're any good. they just have to be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artist and the song in your blog along with your five songs. Then tag five other people to see what they're listening to.

sadly, i don't have five people with blogs to tag.  most people that i know read this do not have journals of their own.  of the two that do, one already tagged me.  so i'm tagging

[livejournal.com profile] wigglett  and anyone else can feel free to comment here if they'd like, anonymously or otherwise.

1. Jesusland by Ben Folds

2. River of Deceit by Mad Season

3. Blue Orchid by the White Stripes

4. the theme from Wonder Woman

5. Right Where it Belongs by Nine Inch Nails

What a sad person I am!!! I am SOOO busy right now, that I honestly couldn't tell you anything about music. Oddly, the last song that I heard recently was "Ice, Ice, Baby" on NBC with some weird reality show. Technically, I only heard the beginning, because I turned it off. Oh, and I am currently writing an email to you. I decided to meander over to your journal whilst I was writing, and found this. I am SSSOOOO tired. Is my writing sounding weird to you? My friend Paula told me I was "punchy" today. I guess I said a couple smart things to her, which she did not expect, since I am usually nothing but nice and sweet to her. What am I supposed to be writing about right now? Something about music? I can't remember.

Oh, and I sort of have a journal...if you can call my boring little updates about my children a journal. Oh, and do you knit? I had a dream that you do. I think that you even designed your own really cool patterns. You were quite good.

okay, I think that the reason that I had a dream that you knit is because I have a friend named Liz that knits. I think that you two would be very good friends, if you ever knit. (oops, I mean if you ever met. see, I told you I was tired!) The connection came to me when I looked at the name of this thing "live journal". I thought to myself "why does that look so familiar." Then I told myself "silly girl, it is because a half hour ago you were looking at liz's picture of her knitting and reading her journal entry on HER live journal." Weird.

does any of this make sense to you? I am so afraid that I am going to read this tomorrow, and it won't even make sense to me!

Currently digging:

"Green Eyes" by Coldplay
"Best of You" by Foo Fighters
"Do You Realize" by The Flaming Lips
"Mad World" by Gary Jules
"Savannah Blue" by Danny Lynn Wilson

Bonus respect points if you know who Danny Lynn Wilson is, for all other songs run immediately to iTunes.

Actually, I do not. I don't really buy CDs anymore, I pretty much buy a song at a time off iTunes right now unless I think I'll really love everything. I might really buy the whole new Coldplay album but I haven't had a chance to sample it yet.

Sadly, most of my musical purchases as of late have been because of movies or lame TV commercials where I go "hey, what IS that song? I want it!" Hence, the Flaming Lips tune, and two songs from Garden State, not to mention Foo Fighters is thanks to watching the VH1 countdown on weekends while trying to get ready to do something productive. Which all ties into needing to hear the new Coldplay album because I think the song from the O.C.'s season finale is on it and I want it. Shut up. The song from the last season finale still gets play on my computer and I am not ashamed.
