The saga continues

Okay, so back to the continuing story about my friend who got picked by the birth mom I spoke with.  She headed down to Florida on Sunday.  The baby was born on Monday.  She excitedly sent me a message about it and promised pictures soon.  

I got a message late last night from her that I didn't see until mid-morning today.  The birth mom changed her mind last night.  Her mom convinced her not to go through with it.  

This particularly sucks for my friend because this is her second failed match.  Both after she'd already arrived in Florida with her son, mom, and friend in tow.  And there are fees involved that she doesn't get back.

On the plus side for her, she is now going to have a much easier time adopting her son's half-sibling who will be due in March.

Plus side for us, we didn't have to go through that.

I guess the birth mom got caught in some lies along the way. Like that the father wasn't a one night stand. He was someone she had dated for a year...

:( How sad for your friend. And a relief for you! Hoping the half-sibling for your friend's son goes through without a glitch. It sounds like she deserves it.
