A couple from our adoption classes got picked by a birth mother who is due at the end of May. Hell, we don't even have all our stuff turned in yet to get assigned a social worker so we can start getting profiled. I hope we'll be wrapping up the profile soon. Like, maybe this weekend?
But then our last piece is our medical forms. We both have to get those PPD tests for TB done where they prick your arm and then you have to come back in 2-3 days to make sure you don't have a reaction. John got his done this past week and dropped off the form that his doctor needs to fill out. I'll be doing mine this week and will drop off the form that needs filling out. Nora needs to have a physical, which was really what was holding us up because she's due for one in March, so I made it early March and will take care of that on the 8th, dropping off the form that her doctor needs to fill out.
Then there's John's cardiologist, whoever that may be at the moment. The one he went to for years sent us a letter last year informing us that he was moving to Alaska. Oh. So he switched to someone else in the practice and that's who we were going to get documentation from. But then turns out he left without informing us. Apparently someone else in the practice will be assisting us at some point.
The moral of the story is, once we get our medical stuff in and we get our profile done, we could be potentially getting profiled.
