I have to give John props for taking one for the team last night. Nora was clearly not feeling well at bedtime. I had just taken her temperature and she was resisting having her teeth brushed, so I asked her if she wanted to sit on my lap while John brushed her teeth, to which she agreed. So I pulled her up on my lap and John was there with the toothbrush, when she totally just puked all over the place. All three of us were in stunned silence for just a second, but that was long enough as she had a second round immediatley after. And John put his hands out, still holding the toothbrush, in an attempt to catch it. Did it work? Not in the least bit, and may have actually splashed it around the room a little more than would have happened otherwise, but I really gotta give him two thumbs up for effort. You know you're a parent when you try to catch your kids puke with your own bare hands. However, I'm glad I had the thought to pull the garbage can over right after that so she could spew the next round into that instead of the floor again. And the toothbrush promptly went in the garbage, as well.

In any case, we got her cleaned up and into bed, got the bathroom cleaned up, and then had to clean up her bed shortly thereafter when she had another attack of it. I had a hard time going to sleep because I kept listening for her and went into her room numerous times to check on her. But she is better today and woke up telling John that she was very thirsty and hungry.
