Nora is starting to make little connections that I find impressive. For example, at bedtime we read a book called "Just Only John." Then later we got talking about names for some reason and I was explaining that my name is Amanda, and she was able to recognize that it was the same as one of her teachers. Then I told her that Daddy's name is John and she said, "Oh, just like that boy," meaning the book we read 10 minutes before. We went through her grandparents' names, too, and she made the connection that her grandfather's name is John just like Daddy and the boy in the book.
Maybe not so impressive to some, but being able to make those connections is an important step to critical thinking and I think that's pretty good for a kid who's not yet 3.
