Lights are on
Oct. 17th, 2006 12:47 pmWe finally got power back last night. I was still at my parents' house and I was screaming enough when John called and told me that Mike came up to try to figure out what was wrong. I really just wanted to sit back and enjoy the civilization of TV, but my cable isn't up and running yet. Damn. I'm most upset that I still haven't been able to watch last Thursday's shows that are trapped on the hard drive of my DVR, which I can't access, either, without cable. And I'm having Daily Show withdrawal. This also means I have no internet access at home and that screws up the Vonage phones, but at least that automatically forwards to my cell phone.
But I really can't whine. No one got hurt. We had no major damage. Just a lot of inconvenience and a lot of broken tree limbs to clean up.
