there were these glass shower doors in our basement when we bought the house. i actually didn't even know it until john decided to put them out to the garbage the other night. we were wondering if they were going to take them.
so yesterday when i was getting ready to leave, i peeked out the window and the doors were, in fact, gone. however, there was also broken glass strewn all over the street. great.
i felt obligated to clean it up since the garbage men did not. called my boss and told her i'd be an hour late. called john, who suggested that i shopvac the street. whatever.
but i went out and swept it up, which turned out to be a lot easier than i suspected it would be. while i was doing it, though, i found myself becoming one of those people who wants to know why i'm paying all these taxes for this crappy service. ugh.
