when will people learn that the left lane is not for drivers doing the speed limit or below, particularly when there is not a single car in the right lane? i hate to be one of those dicks that pass on the right, but some people ask for it. the dude flashed me with his brights afterwards, too. bastard.

that doesn't surprise me about you at all. i normally hate that kind of behavior, but that is actually what i did, even after giving him time to get over first. he didn't and i was being more impatient than usual, so i flashed him. he did not respond at all. didn't even slow down to get back at me (which is what i probably would have done). so i passed him on the right.

No, no, no. Flashing the brights is bad form. Just pass the jerk before you get all worked up over it- who cares what side you are on as long as you don't run anyone off the road. Then, when he flashes his brights at you and shows how low-class he is, make sure to roll down the window and flip him the bird. Wave your hand around in a festive, holiday cheer sort of way. That's just so much better.

yeah, i know. like i said, i don't normally go with that kind of behavior. i almost never flash anyone the brights. generally, i'll just give them some time to move over and when they don't, then i'll move over. i do believe that one can be aggressive and still be safe at the same time. i was just highly impatient last night for some reason. a result of all the crap i have to do before leaving for new hampshire.
