I passed a van today that, based on its graphics, appeared to be affiliated with a church or ministry of some sort out of Illinois.  The name of this church?  "Jesus es el Senor."  Now, I have not taken Spanish, but I believe that translates to "Jesus is the Man."  That could be a church I can get behind.

Oh, yeah, you're probably right now that I think about what very little bit of Spanish I'm sort of aware of. I suppose they would have used hombre or something like that if they had meant "man." Oh well. I still think it would be a great message and excellent marketing plan.

Well, I kind of think the connotation of "hombre" is more "man" lower-case and if you really DID want to say "You're THE Man" Senor would be a good choice, so it still works!
