Follow-up on Fisher Price

So anyone remember way back last August, almost a year ago, when Nora got her picture taken at Fisher Price for some pink fairy mobile thingy?  And then they said it would be, like, 2-3 months later that the product would come out?  And then it never came out? 

Well, I had pretty much given up the idea of it ever coming out, but today we went to Babies R Us, and we happened to walk down an aisle we don't usually walk down AND THERE IT WAS!  Almost walked right by it, too, but I somehow realized what it was at the last minute or something.

Nora's not on the box.  They went with a sleeping baby and Nora's pictures were all cute and awake and smiley.  Their loss.

I've been scouring the Fisher Price website and the internet in general looking for other pictures.  It appears to be exclusive to the "R Us" stores as I could only find it on their website.  The Fisher Price website doesn't even have it listed.  I did find an alternate awake baby picture on the Toys R Us site for the UK, but that was also not Nora.  Boo.

I might send them another picture after my summer classes are done and maybe we'll try again.  Plus free stuff is good.  I gotta figure out how we get in on the toy testing...

awww... too bad they didn't use her picture (hard to believe, since she is SO darn cute!)

Well, I can't really complain because we got a free toy out of it. And honestly, if she had been on the box, I'd feel compelled to buy it just to have it. So really, Fisher Price has saved me money. But I'll still try again in a couple months when my time is freed up a bit.

Well, I guess the idea is that it's soothing and will put your baby to sleep. Believe me, at that age, a sleeping baby is exactly what you want.
