Spring allergies totally blow this year and my Alavert (same as Claritin) is not cutting it.  I think I need to finish my box of the stuff and move on to Zyrtec.  What does seem to help is my wonderful neti pot.  Only catch is that you can't use it if you can't breathe out of your nose, so a large portion of the time, I can't use it.  The best time is right after I get out of the shower when the steam has cleared me up fairly well, but I have so little time to get ready before Nora gets up (because I just cannot get my butt out of bed in the mornings) that I don't always get a chance to do it.  Then I'm screwed for the rest of the day.  But then even that isn't fullproof.  It's worse when I'm home, probably because of the mass amounts of accumulated dog hair and whatnot.  We got a new vaccuum for our birthdays, but it didn't come with extra time to use it more frequently.

In other whinings, I'm really sick of products I love getting discontinued.  After I quit using the bleachy Proactiv, Julie suggested I try the Neutrogena anti-wrinkle anti-blemish stuff.  So once I was no longer breastfeeding, because of the retinol in it, I started using that lotion and it was good stuff.  Now I can't find it anywhere.  They still have the face wash on the shelves, but not the lotion.  I'm on my last tube and am trying to make it last by using it only when I really, really need it.

Also discontinued, Blistex Herbal Answer.  This is the best chap stick in the world.  Not fake fruity smelling and actually rather pleasant fragrance, the right level of waxiness in a good way, effective.  Can't find that anymore either.  So I tried the Chapstik Naturals since it seemed it might be similar.  Not even close.  So I have been trying pretty much every kind of Blistex that exists, but I'm not fond of any of them.  Either too fruity or too medicinal or sometimes even both.  The peppermint Chapstik was kind of interesting because it actually made my lips cold, but not really what I'm looking for.  I'm currently trying out Softlips, but it's too narrow so I actually use more of it trying to coat my whole lips.  I noticed Aveeno has some so I might try that.  There's also the potential of that Burt's Bees stuff, but it's pricey.

This kind of thing happens all the time.  Deodorants I like disappear.  Cleaning products.  Bath and Body Works fragrances.  I really do hate that.  Wah.

Honestly, I get all of my skin stuff from the Triumverate.

Johnson and Johnson, Aveeno or Dove.

They make everything a girl could ever want. Most of it's fragrence free and it's all super dooooper mild for crybaby skin like mine.

You can buy stuff at http://www.neutrogena.com/ Granted- it's probably more expensive than Wegmans/Target etc. But it may just be that they decided to stop carrying it rather than it being put to death.

Ok, so now I am less impressed with myself. You can;t buy it from them. they just tell you where to buy it. jerks.

What? Look for the Neutro lotion in another store, I can always find it at Wal-Mart. If it really is getting discontinued I might die.

The Burt's Bees tin is pricey but I like it. Although I like Carmex just as much, but the Burt's tin fits easier in a pocket.
