Last night we reached a milestone. We finally finished all the Johnson's Head to Toe Babywash that we received as gifts. We do, however, still have a couple bottles of Johnson's Bedtime Wash and an obscene amount of Johnson's Baby Shampoo, which I suspect will actually last us another year.
Anyhoo. We attempted to get pictures for our Christmas cards of Nora and Beezley together. It was quite a fiasco. This is why we did not even attempt to include us in the picture this year. This was hard enough without each of us grumbling about how we look in them all.
Then this afternoon we had Nora's first visit with Santa. My dad is a member of the Gastown Sportsman's Club, primarily because it's three doors down, and they have a Christmas party every year for the kids. We were a little wary of how Nora would respond, but then when she's in crazy surroundings, she sometimes just gets all "deer in the headlights" and is very quiet and stunned. That is exactly what she did. She sat contentedly on the table with my dad, who she normally screams at, and even appeared to watch the annoying clown/magician. Then when it was her turn to sit on Santa's lap, she sat quietly and even actually gave him a smile at one point. No one got the smile on film, but I know it happened. He was a very nice Santa, too. Real beard and everything.
Oh, and they do give good toys. My dad put her down as being one year old, which was great because the other babies were getting blocks that she already has. She got the Little People Farm, something I'd have purchased for her myself for her birthday. It's super cute, though we can't figure out why the sheep as an afro.
So here's a picture of Nora and Santa. She has another party at my mom's work on Thursday...
