Here's a
Mommy Survey:
1. How long have you been a Mom?
Almost seven months.

2. How many children call you Mommy/Mom/Mama?:
Well, the answer is I have one child, but she has yet to call me by any name.

3. Girl? Boy? or both?
Girl

4. Did you know what you were having?
No, and I was super cranky about her lack of cooperation during the ultrasound.

5. How old were you when you became a Mom?
30

6. How long were you in labor?
The whole thing took about 10 hours total from start to finish, which sounds nice to some, but going that quick apparently means it's extra painful.

8. What was your least favorite thing about labor?
I can't say I really cared for any of it, except maybe the epidural.  I guess I'd have to agree with [personal profile] rockinlibrarian on this one and say the 2 1/2 hours of pushing.

9. Do you want more kids?:
Eventually

10. Do you plan on having more soon?:
God, no.  I need to finish this degree first.

11. Does daddy change diapers?
That's his job when he's home.

12. How many times have you been peed on?:
I have not been directly peed on, but she has peed in mid-diaper change more times than I could possibly count.

13. Barfed on?:
If you count spit-up, pretty much several times a day.

14. Is your child named after anyone?
Eleanor is John's grandmother's name.

15. How did you come up with their name(s)?
As stated above, her first name is from John's grandmother.  I opted to call her Nora over Ellie, because I like it better.  Now her middle name is Rebekah, which was kind of a family joke around how my parents should have named one of us girls that because it rhymes with what was my last name.  Friends have called me that through the years as the joke was ongoing and it was the easiest way to help people figure out how to pronounce the Polish last name.  I've always preferred that spelling over the traditional version ever since having a friend in seventh grade who spelled it that way, and it's also the Biblical Hebrew spelling.

16. When your child(ren) gets in trouble, who is the bad guy?
We haven't really run into that and I'm undecided as to how that's going to play out when we do get to it.

17. And who is the good guy?
Same answer as above

18. What is the longest you have been away from your child(ren)?
On Mondays and Wednesdays, I usually drop her off at daycare around 9:30 and can get home from class as late as 8:00 that night.

19. Kids bedtime routine?
Bath if bath night, bottle, diaper change, bedtime lotion, jammies, story if she's not too tired.

20. Are your toes painted?
Not currently.

21. Last movie you saw in the theater?
Superbad

22. Last time you had a date?
Our anniversary daytrip in September.

23. One thing you will not give up just because you are a mom?
I'm attempting to not give up who I am overall.  I can't say it hasn't been a bit of a challenge at times.

24. One thing you did give up now that you're a mom?
The ability to leave the house on the drop of a dime with just keys and cell phone in tow.

25. Best Mom you know?
Possibly John's Aunt Judy, but I also really admire my neighbor who lives sort of behind us because she's a great, caring mom, but she's super laid back about the less important stuff.  Perhaps that comes with having 3 1/2 kids (she's currently pregnant with the fourth) .
