The water main broke down the street again. Seriously, this happens about three to four times a year. One more reason I need to get out of this neighborhood.
In any case, here's a picture of Nora sitting up playing with her Fisher Price birdbath.
Just who IS that ridiculously cute child? At this rate she won't even be a Squishy the next time I see her and I will have missed the whole Squishy stage. *sniff*
Hmm, well I'm considering just not travelling for Thanksgiving at all at this point, since Andy really only wants to hunt for that week and he also wants to stay into the following week so he can go to his cousin's wedding Saturday night and sleep off the hangover on Sunday. Um, yeah. Not really into his idea of a vacation.
Well, then you'd only have yourself to blame if you don't get to see Her Royal Squishiness. But really, you don't want to be in NY for two weeks in November? Why ever not?
You're telling me. We're kinda stuck here for the time being, but I want out of here as soon as we can. I mean, I know it's a minor thing in comparison to other problems we could be having, but 3-4 times a year really does start to become a quality of life issue. And considering my taxes here, it's just plain absurd. Taxes are another reason I want out, but I digress.
Dan and I are tired of where we live too. The electricity goes out all the time! It was out from 7:30 until 11:30 on Monday night! Zack was bathing in the sink when it flicked off - what a pain - not to mention Dan was going to watch the Bills game and DVR heroes - he got to do neither!
We've been looking at houses in Williamsville. We had an offer in on one but someone else offered higher. Oh well - we aren't really ready to sell the one we're in yet anyway.
And here I am dying to get out of Williamsville because we are drowning in school taxes. It probably wouldn't be so bad if I was working, I suppose, but it was always a little tight when I was anyway. Plus I can't have a pool in this neighborhood (because we're in the Ransom Oaks association) and I eventually want my own. I'd also like four bedrooms and two full baths and a real porch. John wants a bigger kitchen.
Last year after the storm, we used the generator to plug in the TV and watch Heroes. I was not about to miss it.
