What have I gotten myself into?

Oy vey.  I have this professor who I believe is certifiably nuts.  He is so outrageously disorganized and chaotic.  His syllabus makes my eyes hurt to look at it.  He sends us these crazy e-mails all the time that don't make a lot of sense and also hurt my eyes to look at.  He tends to speak in a condescending way towards those that ask clarifying questions.  He tested us on the table of contents of our unbelievably boring and quite large textbook.  

I can personally deal with this.  I can work within chaos.  I don't like to.  I find it incredibly annoying.  But I can do it.  However, I believe there were people in class last night that were on the verge of having their heads explode South Park style.  Maybe being older than most of the people in this program is beneficial.  Who knows.

My counseling professor I haven't figured out yet, since we've only had one class due to being off for Labor Day.  He played the harmonica for us.  He has over two dozen of them.  I've heard good things about him, though.

My favorite may actually be the professor for my online class.  I can read his sense of humor and I dig it.

To teach college courses you do not need:
to know how to teach
to know how to have positive interactions with humans
to know compassion
to be organized
to understand e-mail etiquette.

But to be a college student you need to know how to put up with all that crap. Is this guy new? If not, he's been like that forever so he's not going to change anytime soon. Sit back and wait for one of the other students to explode, that ought to be very entertaining. And hopefully you won't have him for any other class.

He's been there long enough that I suspect you probably had him when you were there. Same for my counseling professor. I just feel bad for the slew of students who are fresh out of college or pretty close to it and seem a little overwhelmed by it all. I'll have to check and see what else he teaches. I kinda like him as a person because he's somewhat entertaining, but his bedside manner is a little rough around the edges and I'd rather avoid classes with him. Then again, after this semester, I'll be used to him and know what to expect. I've heard he teaches the law in higher ed class and that's not the route I'm planning to travel anyway. We'll see.

My law in higher ed class was taught by Dr. Santamaria who was the VP of student affairs and he has since passed away. I actually don't remember my other professors also I might remember names if I saw them.

I've got Dr. Gallineau and Dr. Gold this semester.

I remember Dr. Gallineau being a nice enough guy - he might have even been my advisor, or he approved by RD job counting as an internship or something. I hope he's not the crazy one. The other name doesn't ring a bell. I took some classes with an african american woman Dr. but I don't remember her name. Maybe she was my advisor. :P

Wait a minute - is Dr. Gold a guy, teaching counseling techniques? James or something? If so I do remember him vaugely. But I don't remember either one of them being crazy.

Yeah, James Gold is the counseling professor. Gallineau is the nutty guy. It's not that I don't like him, because I do, but he's definitely not for everyone and his disorganization is truly mind boggling. Wanda Davis is my advisor, who I've never actually spoken with, and I guess she's been around a while, too.
