Oh, the irony

For those of you that don't know, I was really anti-pink, to the point that had I known Nora was a girl before she was born, I would have seriously considered pretending that I didn't know just to avoid the onslaught of pink stuff that people insist upon buying.  I don't hate pink as some perceive.  It has it's place here and there.  I'm just not overly fond of it and even if I was, I don't see the need to have my daughter in pink, or any other one color, all the time.  

Well, I got a call from Fisher Price to have Nora come in tomorrow morning.  And what product will she be modeling for?  A mobile.  Great, she loves mobiles.  Ah, but not just any mobile.  It's a mobile from their Perfect in Pink collection.  I had to keep myself from laughing out loud when the woman told me that's what she'd be doing.  

Oh well.  It's a weird universe we live in.  Now I just have to hope that they can and are willing to airbrush out the scratch on the face she gave herself today and I'm trying to figure out why in God's name I agreed to a 9:00 time.  Yeah, she's usually in a good mood at that time, but I have to actually get there by 9.  On the plus side, whether they use her or not, we get a gift card.  Either $25 to their toy store or $30 for their online store.  We haven't decided yet what we'll go with.  I need to explore their website.

I watched "The Number 23" last night and it has convinced me that pink is evil.
