summary of my very long yesterday:

went to one of the workshops required for my certificate program. the teacher was one of our regular wednesday night facilitators. nice lady, but she speaks in theory way too much and it's way over many of our collective heads. still better than being at work.

visited the old office while on lunch and maribel told me to stop losing weight. i knew i loved that girl for a reason, even though i don't take much stock in it since she knew me when i was on the pill and therefore at my heaviest level. but then one of the girls in my program also asked me later on if i was losing weight. i really don't think so, but i'll still take that.

then i thought i'd take my evening and get some shopping done. that was a really stupid idea. granted, i got a lot accomplished, but it totally sucked. i had to go to toys r us twice because the first time i bought the wrong bratz dolls for the giving tree thing we're doing through john's office. it was my own fault, but i was really unhappy about having to go back there. then, i got a subway sub and found out they discontinued the red wine vinaigrette sauce. grrr.

but the funny moment of the entire day was brought on by beezeley. i bought him a little red rubber globe ball with blue continents. he absolutely loves it, but we realized a little after i gave it to him that he was pulling off all the continents. i'm still afraid that he will eat the tree when we get it this weekend.

oh, we're not planning on putting anything on the lower branches. and he has been known to try to eat light bulbs in the past.

on the task bar at the top of the screen click on "manage" and then click on "user pictures" and then you can up load a "cool picture" like all of us lj losers :o)

oh btw - this is sheila and thank you for all the fun mardi-gras stuff... i still think you two are freaks and plan way far ahead... but the gesture was very nice

I proudly fly the freak flag when it comes to Mardi Gras. It is a year-round obsession, and will be over in less than two months! Sure, you can just go without any planning and be a random tourist like all the frat boys on spring break looking for boobs, or you can actually be a part of what makes the experience so much fun! Don't worry - you just show up and go with the flow. I now have to shop for some decorations so the hotel room will be all festive when the two of you arrive! I could go on and on about the wonders of Mardi Gras but I think you are already convinced of my obsession.

i already have too many to keep up with. maybe i don't want anymore live journal friends. it's too time consuming.
