My mom watched Nora Monday so I could attend an all day training.  Afterwards, she stated that she doesn't know how I get anything done.  Um, I don't and that's why I'm so stressed out by Nora's non-napping habits, duh.  It was nice to be out in the adult world again, in any case, even if it was hard to sit still for that long listening to info on international adoptions.

Got Nora on the waitlist at the daycare we wish to go to.  They were thinking they'd have openings in the infant room when the school year starts.  I was hoping for when my semester started, but at least my mom will still be off until the school year starts to pick up some of that lag time.  Meanwhile, I should find some others to check out their waitlist times in case we can't get in that soon.

I'm so sick of getting bills from the hospital over some mix-up that either they made or the insurance made.  They keep turning out that I don't have to pay them in the end, but it's getting annoying to be spending this much time dealing with it when I have a cranky baby who doesn't like to nap and much better things to do with the few minutes a day that I do get.

And finally, I have become one of those people who gets her period back rather quickly after the baby is born.  I'm not overly surprised because I did have very light spotting for a couple days about a month ago and I've read that women with regular cycles tend to get it back much more quickly.  I should have known I'd pay for the convenience of regularity at some point.  I've also read that it comes back quicker if you have a good store of fat and that I currently do.

I got mine back when Jacob was just a couple months old. Yeah. I wasn't thrilled, either. I know people that didn't get it for over a year.

Right about now, I am wondering why we have kids??? And why, when my two years old is awake until 11pm every night now am I yearning for a newborn?? I must be nuts. Good thing I am not nuts enough to actually HAVE another one.

Doodle Bugs on Transit said the same thing to me when I got on their list in October. Then in February when I called they said they didn't have an opening and they'd let me know. I was also on the UB daycare list since October and when I called them it really didn't matter that I was on the list, but rather if I could take a slot when it opened (which they had one in February, but I'd have to pay $99 a week to hold it until I went back to work in April).

I called Doodle Bugs back after learning the UB situation and so they put me on the list at ANY of their locations and said they would call me when they had an opening. I have yet to get a call.

So a week from my due date I started calling around frantically. Luckily, Edukids had a slot opening in April and because the timing was right, I got it. I wasn't even on a waiting list there.

I would explore a few backup options and keep checking with them as the day draws closer.

Oh and the hospital billing thing happened to me too...

Yep - Crosspoint! I really like it - the staff are really good with the babies. Zack seems really happy there - I think he likes them better than us. Of the 6 youngest there, 5 born in February (including Zack) and one in March, only one is a girl. We definitely need to even out that room with another girl!

Did you take Nora to the daycare and SHOW her to them? I mean, how can they waitlist her if they've seen her cuteness?

I can't believe you have SO many daycare center options. They are rare where I am. Mostly we have home daycares. And I don't love the thought of one person watching an infant along with a gaggle of other children. What do they do with the kids when they go to the bathroom? Plus, they can have funny hours. Like my former neighbor only watched kids from 6:30 am until 3:30. But, there is SUCH a need for daycare that she could be open those hours and still have a waiting list.

Good luck. :)
