So both John and Nora have developed a cold.  He happened to be home yesterday to get some school work done and wound up sleeping all afternoon.  Today he called in.  Which makes me want to know, what happens if I catch it?  Who takes care of Nora so I can sleep all afternoon?

In any case, salt water drops and nasal aspirators are about as fun for all of us as you can imagine.

Yes, I purchased some recently at Wal-Mart, it has all the stuff we know and love in it. Be sure to bring your driver's license as you'll be treated like an ex-con for wanting to purchase it.

They didn't have that at Target, damn it! I totally would have picked that up. I'll have to look for it when we're at Wegmans tomorrow. I was having the hardest time finding something that had everything we wanted in a cold medicine. I don't mind having to get it from the pharmacist. I've had to do that to get my real Sudafed anyway.

hmmm. I'm guessing that in your case, your mom will help out. Otherwise, you suck it up!!

Once, John and I both had a stomach virus at the exact same time. I literally walked in the door at 2am from work and begged him to help me upstairs only to find out that he had started getting sick about an hour before. That was the worst ever. Grace was just over one and Jacob was four. I can't recall how they were cared for. I guess we did it with buckets in our laps. :)

Hey, stranger! Glad to see you online again.

Sucking it up is pretty much what I'm working with today since I did, in fact, get it, John went back to work today, and my mom is still working until her summer starts next week. I was pretty much dozing off holding her earlier today with my nose running all over the place.

Isn't parenting like a whole different world? Like right now -- all I want to do is drop everything and work non-stop until everything here is unpacked and organized. But, I can't do that, because their are two little critters that need my attention.

I hope you are better soon. How is Nora? I was worried when I read she was sick. Colds in little ones can be scary. Hope she is better. If I was closer, I would help you out. :)

She could be a lot worse. She doesn't have a fever or anything. Just a stuffy nose so we're dealing with that, but even that could be a heck of a lot worse. The funny thing is that she laughs at John when he aspirates her, but screams when I do it. Go figure. She does seem to have regressed a little in her daytime napping. She never got terribly good at it, but she's back to the level she was at a while ago of not wanting to go down at all. So I know it will take some time to get her back on track. Unfortunately, I'm so exhausted that it feels worse than it probably is. But John has a half day tomorrow and then the weekend will be here. Naps for everyone!
