Doctor's appointment

Today Nora is one month old so we had her one month pediatrician's appointment.  She weighs 7 lbs 12 oz and is 20.59 inches long now.  

The doctor detected a small heart murmur, but didn't think it was anything to really be concerned about.  They'll keep an eye on it.

As for the napping issues, it's just as I suspected.  She's a baby.  This is what she does.  I should just be thankful that she's doing fairly well at night.  The doctor inquired as to whether I had any help at home.  Not during the day, unfortunately, so sucks to be me until she gets older.  Yay.

I hope the heart murmur thing doesn't freak you out. It may disappear as she grows and if it doesn't it will probably just be a "functional" murmur like mine.

The fact that I know you have one and nothing ever happened because of it is exactly why I didn't freak out when she told me. Though when she mentioned the possibility of an echo in the future if they find it worrisome in a few months, I was a little more concerned.

I don't remember what tests I needed but I'm sure if I didn't have an echo I had the old-school equivalent, and still I'm fine.
