This was a bad day.  Nora absolutely would not go to sleep the whole day.  I had to put her down crying so I could eat lunch.  I felt horrible and evil.  Not even a walk this afternoon got her to sleep.  She was quiet during the walk leading me to believe she was asleep and I took an extra long walk for my own benefit, but as soon as we got home, I saw she was still awake.  And as soon as I took the carrier out of the stroller, she went back to shrieking.  She shrieked in my arms.  She shrieked anywhere I put her.  

I called John in tears and he opted to come home early from work, not something that can generally happen.

I'm wiped out.  So is Nora.  This sucks.

Oh thats terrible! Are you sure there isn't anything wrong with her?? I hope not. Maybe she at least tired herself out enough to sleep tonight? I hope things get better soon for you guys!

No. Nothing wrong with her. She just resists sleeping and then gets herself overtired. If there was something wrong, she wouldn't have been quiet during the walk. And she's fine when she eats and for a short time after eating. We have her one month doctor's appointment tomorrow and I will most assuredly be bringing this up.

Hang in there - I swear it gets better. My son is 9 weeks old and something changes in them after the 6th or 7th week.

I'm sorry your had such a bad day.

*hoping for a textbook baby that magically gets better at 6 weeks*

We're slinging it today before we had to the pediatrician. Generally working for now with some occasional fussing.
