Got notification today that part of my visit to the perinatalogist earlier this month is being denied by our health insurance.  Which part?  No idea because the explanation on this form is so frigging vague.  So I guess I have to call to find out what the problem seems to be so I know what part to file a grievance on.

The midwife we met with today said she'd be glad to get involved with the grievance process.  Especially since they want to send me back to the pernatalogist just for a check up, but they'll hold off until I get this insurance business figured out.

What a pain in my ass.

i swear to god the american health care system is run by monkies. no - it would run smoother if that were the case. the american health care system isnt run by anyone at all and the buck gets passed around and around and around. gwar

I'm sure they are not covering the most expensive and necessary part.

Insurance. Having it is better than not having it. But that's not saying much.

I can't tell you how many times I have had to fight the insurance company in the last three years. The good news is that the majority of the time, it was a mistake on their part, and everything was eventually paid as it should have been.
