Midwife appointment yesterday. I brought a copy of my glucose results and was like a little kid who wants their test hung up on the fridge. John thought to ask if I could reduce or eliminate the testing if I remain on the diet. It's been just over a week so she suggested I keep it up a few days a week at this point and we'll see how things are going in two weeks when I go back. I think I'll not be testing on the day of my shower.
She then manhandled my belly to determine the baby's position. We're head down with that butt sticking into my ribs. I was wondering if that was the butt or the head.
Measurement of my uterus got bigger than expected over the past two weeks. You want to be about as many centimeters as you are weeks along, but you're allowed a plus or minus of two centimeters. Last time at 30 weeks I think I was 31. This week at 32 weeks, I was 34. If this pattern of growth continues, I just might be getting that ultrasound, after all. She stated she didn't want me to have a ten pound baby. Believe me, I want that even less than she does.

Is it too horribly rude to ask you to let your mom know that I can't make it? I'd like to, believe me. I could SO use the time away, but I don't think that John-Paul is in a good state of mind to stay home with the kids. I wish that you were closer. :(
Will Kelly be there? Say hi for me, if she is. I haven't talked to her in ages.

I kind of figured you weren't going to be able to make it, although the weather's looking all right so if you change your mind, you can always stay with us...
Kelly never replied at all. Other than a random forward recently, I haven't heard from her, either. So not sure what she's up to.
