We got a bunch of snow in the area and as a result, there are many schools and businesses closed.  John checked the closings and the university where he works wasn't closed so he left early to get to work at 9:00 after a less than wonderful drive.

Then at 10:00, when all employees and students who were likely to be coming in were already there, they decided to close it.  

So John drove another less than wonderful drive home, completely wasting his morning, and being put at risk due to some treacherous conditions.

This is not the first time this has happened, I might add.

It figures. That is the nice about not working, don't you think??

Thankfully, John-Paul has today off anyway, so I don't have to worry about him driving around in this weather from accident to accident.

I know. At this point I'm just watching the weather for days I have to drive to various midwife or childbirth education appointments. Plus I'm totally off the hook on shoveling, etc. It's a nice perk.
