Doing a heck of a job, FEMA

Apparently Bush isn't ready to declare the area a disaster so we can get some FEMA funds to clean up this mess because all he's seen is a bunch of fallen trees. Um, yeah, but there's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of fallen trees and they've caused a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT of damage. So god only knows how long we'll have all these tree branches laying around until the towns can get around to picking them up without the extra funds to hire extra help on that job.

You saw how long it took for him to see there was a problem in New Orleans, even thought we were all watching it unfold on CNN, right?

He's too busy right now meeting with people at fundraisers and trying to figure out what to do if Democrats regain some control in November elections. He could give a shit about the trees.

I'm not expecting it to be fast-tracked like I hear Hawaii was. I agree with the guy the Buffalo News talked to from FEMA that the Hawaii situation was catastrophic and we were not on that same level at all. And I don't even want any FEMA money for myself. I lost some groceries, but I'm one of the very lucky ones that can afford to buy more groceries and didn't really have any damage beyond inconvenience. But the communities really could use some help and some of the towns aren't going as all out with the cleanup process without knowing whether or not they're going to be getting any federal funds.

In any case, I just wanted to bitch about Bush.
