After a horrible, horrible drive home last night, there are a million very large tree branches all over our yard, there's no power (I'm at the parental units' house for the moment) and probably won't be for several days, and there's a possibility that all of erie county will run out of water because the treatment facilities also have no power.  wahoo!  

more later as we need to get home and hook the generator up to the sump pump before the basement floods.

I called Invitrogen today to place an order for the lab and got a message saying they were shut down due to a freak snow storm. Their webpage says they're located in Cali, but I have a feeling the phone offices at least are in Buffalo. So that's how I heard about your storm. Sounds kinda fun. Stayin home and keeping warm for a few days! Sorry I didn't respond to your email earlier. I was in portland OR visiting friends. Awesome fun! A little too big city for me, but we all really had an awesome time, and we went to the pacific and ran on the beach! So much fun! I'll have to reread the email and respond, I was getting distracted the whole time I was trying to read it there. Anywho...good luck with the moving thing, this might be when all your social worker training will come in handy ;) lata
