so we went to see Superman last night at the Imax. in 3-D. i can't even tell you the last movie i saw in 3-D, but the technology has vastly improved. although they still make the glasses look dorky.

i would say it was worth the extra we paid to see it there instead of the regular theater. it was very cool.

and the movie itself was pretty good. much more serious than the ones we all know and love from our childhood, but i would also say it was a total lovesong to the Christopher Reeve versions.

except for Lex Luthor. remember how you actually kind of liked Gene Hackman's Lex? there's nothing you like about Kevin Spacey's. he's really evil. and why does he always have some weird bimbo? Parker Posey is Miss Tessmacher (sp) all over again, which is kind of a rip-off, but she was still fine.

one thing that kept cracking me up was that Kumar was in it as one of Lex's minions. he was in it a lot, but he did not have a single line. it was weird.

but anyhoo. it was a good movie, had some very touching moments. if i was all that into Superman i might complain about some continuity stuff, but i'm not.

-----

incidentally, we saw Click last weekend and that was shockingly good. we even both cried. yes, we cried at an Adam Sandler movie. and because it was good.
