i've been rather against iPods for awhile now. john got one when they first came out for christmas that year. he had been waffling, but his car came with a hook-up for it to work through the stereo so he decided that he did want one. i've thought that they were stupid because john spends an outrageous amount of time messing around with iTunes to get everything loaded up. it just seemed so labor intensive.

i have learned that john is just obsessed with iTunes and reorganizing his stuff over and over and over. i also know that part of the problem is that his computer doesn't have enough memory for him to load as much music as he actually could onto his iPod. if i had one, i'd want to fill it up as much as possible with everything i own. otherwise, i'll just stick with my portable cd player, thank you very much.

but lately i've been leaning towards saving up for one. i don't need any fancy video crap and i don't want one of those miniature ones that don't hold anything. i want lots of memory to load lots of stuff. i guess my computer has more memory to load up more music than john's has. i'd have to look into this with much more detail and see if it's worth my while.

I think about the iPod from time to time. Actually, an iRiver player instead because although I use iTunes, I don't want to HAVE to use it. And iRiver is cheaper and seems to be good quality. Except for when you run them over with lawn mowers.

But since I don't run around listening to music every spare moment (and I hate earbuds) it seems like a stupid purchase for me. I need music in the car but that's what the CD player is for.
