woke up to discover the water is out yet again. of all the days...

well, john went down to ask the guys how much longer it might be. another couple of hours as of about a half hour ago. that will hopefully give us enough time to shower before folks come over for our breakfast for dinner extravaganza. if not, we're moving a lot of food to mom's and we'll have to shower there, too.

We have never once lost our water in the 5.5 years we have been in this house. You seem to lose it every month or so! I guess I know where your tax money is NOT going.

it's been about 7 times in 2 1/2 years. the erie county water authority comes out and fixes the pipes, but the town of amherst owns them so they need to be the ones to replace them. we just voted in a new town supervisor who is planning on making sweeping changes (he beat out the incumbent in the primary and seemed to come out of nowhere) so i think we should start complaining.

You should absolutely start complaining. We pay almost $500 a year for our water and sewer. That is on top of our yearly taxes. I would be outraged if we lost water that much!
