I'm not sure why I'm surprised by this

i have a small obsession with George Takei, also known as Sulu from Star Trek. i mean, i'm a Trekkie somewhat, but never previously thought much of Sulu. however, Howard Stern and the Daily Show have done some absolutely hysterical things with him over the past few years that make me realize just how damn hilarious this guy can be, although not always intentionally.

anyhoo. i was just scanning the entertainment headlines on yahoo and came across this article about him coming out of the closet.
