i have a theory about PetSmart. i really think they wax their floors. this is so that when dogs come in to the store and are pulling and struggling to sniff at each other, and they're trying to dig in and get traction so they can pull away, they actually just wind up sliding all over the place. they all look like the cartoons where they're running in mid-air, but not getting anywhere. hysterical.
that slippery topcoat also probably makes it a lot easier to clean up when the dogs pee on the floor.
