is anyone else just absolutely disgusted with the government response to new orleans? i mean, i know it's a tough place to get to at the moment, but in this day and age, with all the amphibious vehicles and helicopters and whatnot, why is it taking so damn long? the news crews and harry connick, jr. got there all right.
i read something in an article about FEMA saying that it's too dangerous for them to go in with all the shootings and crime. um, it wouldn't have gotten so crazy and chaotic if you had gotten your asses in there to help them sooner, you fucks.
and did the news really need to bust in to regularly scheduled programming just to show me a photo op of Bush talking to three victims in Biloxi? so he cut his FIVE WEEK vacation short and now he's trying to show off that he's doing something about the problem.
whatever. some major damage has been done. and i'm not talking about the direct damage of the hurricane and flood.
