went to wal-mart today to print some pictures (and no children were harmed in the making of those pictures to all those anti-wal-mart people), and spotted a mobile home set up in the back of the parking lot. this reminded me of one other weird observation i made in Montana.

we got there about 11:30 Montana time and needed to stop by wal-mart to get pillows so there weren't too many people there at that time. but there were a whole slew of motor homes set up in the parking lot. i expressed my awe and beth explained that wal-mart lets people camp there on their way to wherever they're going. they get a place to park. the store's open 24 hours so the bathroom is, too. and provisions are just across the parking lot. it's a win-win situation, i guess. we saw this again at another wal-mart on our way to Glacier National Park.

i guess Clarence is a little too classy to have that many motor homes set up at it's super wal-mart, but i'm guessing there's places as redneck as Montana that have this phenomenon. South Carolina, perhaps?

They've been doing that in FL for as long as I can remember as well

Would Clarence be a big hot spot on the motor home circuit? I have never noticed any RVs in the parking lot of ours, but maybe it's because I already knew about that Wal-Mart policy. And because seeing something like that in South Carolina just wouldn't faze me at this point. I'm high on Southern Culture - somebody pass me the fried Oreos and a Miller Lite.

Maybe they are just a NASCAR thing - but that's a southern thing too. When fried at the correct temperature, they are delish. The Oreos, not NASCAR drivers.
