despite the fact that i was feeling too tired to go see Batman Begins at 10:00 last night so i was going in with a bad attitude, it did not disappoint at all.

i'm a huge fan of the Burton versions, but i'm considering that i may have liked this one even better. i certainly like it for different reasons. Burton's were dark and gloomy and creepy, but they were also very cartoony in a way. Nolan's is sorta more realistic. Like, these are real people and this stuff is conceivable in a realistic sort of way.

Katie Holmes was not as bad as everyone said she was. she wasn't terribly interesting, but she wasn't bad.

there was one little twist that john, the purist, and i aren't sure how we feel about.

and the Bat Tank didn't bug me as much as i thought it would.

two thumbs up and Jeff Simon from the Buffalo News can shove his 2 1/2 stars because it was a lot better than that.
