Little Update Entry
Jan. 21st, 2009 07:26 pmHaven't written much lately. I don't suppose there are any huge updates to write about.
Nora still sleeps on the floor, but she's increasing how often she sometimes crawls back into her bed to play with her gloworm. She doesn't even try to get to the door or anything anymore, though. She goes right to the nap mat we have on the floor for her. Sigh.
So I'm not sure you all realize that Nora still only has two teeth on the bottom. Six on top, but still those very first two are the only ones on the bottom. John suspects she's finally getting at least one more down there, but I won't believe it until she can bite me with it.
One thing that has changed is that Nora is no longer afraid of walking in the snow. In fact, she loooooooooooooves it. She feels the need to walk in snowbanks whenever she can. Moral of the story? Be careful what you wish for. ;)
Nora's vocabulary is exploding and she's good at repeating not just words, but also phrases after we say them. My favorite of her latest words? Chewbacca. That's what I get for referring to her as the little wookie while she was in utero. We're such geeks.
As for me, I have one class left that starts next week. I'd be glad to start a full-time job, but there are none to be applying for at the moment. So I'm still doing home studies and I'm going to start tutoring math at Medaille a few hours a week in the office where I did my last internship. I start back at Medaille tomorrow and I'm trying to get myself back into an academic frame of mind. It's been a blessedly long break.
