Jul. 10th, 2008 03:33 pmI always used to try to do the laundry when Nora wasn't home or when she was napping or in her high chair or whatever. But I figure that while the basement is full of hazardous things, I can generally keep an eye on her to make sure she's not touching something she shouldn't and there's enough of her old toys down there to potentially keep her interest that I may as well just bring her down with me to switch loads. She did discover her toys the first couple of times, but now she has taken to helping me move the laundry from the washer to the dryer. She loves it.
She also likes to help carry things and turn on and off light switches and give Beezley his biscuits when we put him in the crate (and also whenever the spirit moves her to give him a treat or two). Too bad kids don't stay this voluntarily helpful once they get old enough to really assist with the household chores.
