Klub Karaoke
Dec. 23rd, 2006 05:20 pmDid some karaoke last night as it's what we do when Nick is in town. I actually wasn't initially in the mood to do any singing, but when John decided he was doing a song, I felt obligated to throw in a couple. So I ended up with "Eleanor Rigby" by the Beatles and "Lovefool" by the Cardigans.
There was a little old man in a festive red holiday vest taking everyone's picture when they were on stage and you got your picture for free. I've never been to this particular dive so I don't know if that's a standard thing or just some sort of holiday special. It totally freaks me out when I see pictures of myself now because I see a front view of myself in the mirror that isn't quite so pregnant looking. I'm frigging huge!
As were leaving, Nick's sister had the most brilliant idea that almost tempted me to stay longer if not for the old dog waiting for us in Tonawanda to rescue him and let him out. She suggested I should sing "Papa Don't Preach" for pregnant irony. I totally wish she had come up with that idea earlier in the night as I so would have done it.
