Bitch Fest
Mar. 28th, 2005 05:31 pmwell, now that i haven't done this in a while, there's sure to be even less people reading it than there previously was and most of you will have heard all these complaints already, but i'm hoping it will still make me feel better to vent.
Problem #1: hate my job. hate my boss. hate my agency. sure, there are redeeming qualities to at least the first and third of those, but i'm too tired of it all to take much notice of them anymore. and the fact that i like to be late to meetings where the agenda includes yelling at us for being late to meetings is a sure sign that i need to get out.
Problem #2: this would be related to the first problem. the job search is not working out so well. it's a crappy job market out there and with each passing day, i'm getting more and more depressed. i had an interview scheduled for tonight that i was really pumped for. i know the CEO of this agency and she's a real sweetheart that i truly respect. i also know a few people who work for the agency from the seminar i'm taking, which said CEO is a facilitator for. i do not wish to utilize those connections in that way because they are not ones strong enough to do that with. anyway. i had to wait a couple weeks for this interview because the woman doing it had trainings and then vacation. so then i got a call today letting me know that she had a family emergency so the interview is not happening right now and they're not sure when to reschedule at this point because they don't know when she'll be back. i'm awfully sorry for her, but i need a job, damn it, and i want this one way too much for my own good.
Problem #3: the sinuses. after blowing blood out my nose all week, i checked into all sorts of homeopathic remedies to solve this without the use of antibiotics. i even bought a Neti nasal cleansing pot. let me explain. you fill it up with warm water and a wee bit of salt. then you stick the spout into one nostril and tilt your head so that the saline solution goes in one side and out the other, flushing out all the nasty stuff. then repeat with the other nostril. it's as gross as it sounds, and feels like getting hit in the face with a really big ocean wave, while you're doing it. however, it seriously works wonders. people really into yoga say you should make it part of your daily hygiene routine. i don't know about that one, but when you're sick or suffering from allergies, i'm all for it. but stand in the tub when you do it because it's rather messy. here's the thing, though. i was great all weekend with all that, but i went into work today, and once again, blood. it's probably just the fucking clubhouse construction going on, but this is just one more reason why i need to get the hell out of this job. it's making me literally ill.
