Happy New Baby

my previously mentioned friend Kristina had her baby Thursday afternoon. She had a girl, Grace Kathryn, at 3:11 p.m. who was 7 lbs, 14.6 oz and 20 inches long.

Trick or Treat!

well, i busted out my woodland fairy costume, bumping into the walls with my wings. john got on his viking gear, knocking the horns of his helmet on every doorway and low ceiling lamp. now if we went to all this trouble just to hand out candy, you'd think some of the teens in the neighborhood could actually put in a little effort and, oh, i don't know, put on a costume. wear a sheet, for crying out loud. something. anything. i chastised them for their lack of imagination, but gave them candy anyway.

oh, and if anyone is interested in a little follow up, i did hear that the redskins lost their home game today. i won't hold my breath on this one, but i guess it doesn't hurt to keep my fingers crossed.
