I love garage sales. They're an addiction. But I hate when people overprice their shit. I saw the worst case of this today. This woman is moving and had TONS of toys she was selling. Most in fairly good shape. But I'm sorry, I'm not paying $15 for your used Little People toys. Or games for $10. Not gonna happen. She had kids' books for $3. We did pick out a bunch of those and I was going to try to cut a deal with her, but then she gave them all to me for $10, which was reasonable.
The kicker, though, was the Power Wheels Hummer. I picked up a Power Wheels VW Beetle for $3 last week. Granted, it needs a new battery which will probably set me back 20 bucks, but that's a pretty pricey toy even without the batteries. This woman had the Hummer priced at $130. I shit you not.
They are also doing it tomorrow. If I get a chance, I may stop by in the afternoon to see if she's marked anything down, but I won't get my hopes up.
