Woke up this morning to discover it was wicked cold and the furnace wasn't turning on.  This happened last year and my dad jiggled something and it was fine.  John tried jiggling it, but no such luck.  Dad's coming over later.  

Previously, we would have turned on the gas fireplace, but the pilot is out on that and in order to light it, we need to remove the front panel, which John didn't have time to do this morning because it required his power screwdriver to get done quickly.  And he happened to discover last night that it no longer worked.  

Well, Nora had daycare, I had work and am on my way out to school, so at least only Beezley has had to deal with the cold, and he's got a fur coat.

furnace problems on top of your endless water line problems? You must be SO frustrated. Hopefully a good wiggle from your dad will do the trick.

Unfortunately, that didn't work. I called when I was heading home from class and my mom answered with a screaming Nora in the background. John and my dad were out hunting for the part they need at every hardware store with no luck. My dad has to get it today from a wholesaler and is coming by to take care of it on his way home from work. So we have been very bundled up here. Luckily, it's not really that cold so an extra sweater and some slippers are generally sufficient.
