I have three books on babies and sleeping and eating and whatnot that tend to run with my personal parenting philosophy.  All three have stated that babies should move into a cycle of sleeping, then eating, then being active, and then start all over again.  Up until recently, I thought they were all nuts.  Or that I had a freakish child.  She did sleep, then eat, and then be active a little, but then she'd sleep and then wake up again before she was hungry.  So then sometimes she'd sleep again and then be active again before eating, or sometimes sleep again then eat, or just be cranky because she was tired.  Whatever.  But she really is fitting that pattern now.

First was her feeding cycle.  She eats 7-9 oz four times a day, approximately 4 hours apart, but sometimes 3 1/2 and sometimes 4 1/2, depending on her needs.  And now with the tummy napping, she'll have a morning nap of 2 - 2 1/2 hours and an afternoon nap of 1 1/2 - 2 hours, right before she gets up to eat.  So she sleeps at night, eats, is active, naps, eats, is active, naps, eats, is active, catnaps in the early evening, is active, eats, sleeps at night...

Nora is somehow becoming a textbook baby.  Now let's see how daycare screws all that up.  ;)
