The phone rang and I saw that it was the midwives and I was seriously tempted to not answer.  The joy and also problem with caller I.D. is that I tend to avoid phone conversations that I just don't want to have.  But I knew I'd have to have this one eventually so why not just get it over with.

I have to take the second frigging glucose test.  I was just, just, just over the limit of what's normal, but I was over so now I have to take it.

Probably the real problem is that my appointment wasn't scheduled until the end of the day so I obviously had to do some eating beforehand and as careful as I was, that may not have helped the results.

Also, my iron count is at the low end of normal, but I'm going to try to up my spinach intake so I can avoid an iron supplement.

In any case, I need to jet up there and pick up a script for this beastly test which involves me fasting and spending my morning drinking some gross stuff, sitting around for three hours, and giving blood periodically throughout the whole time.  Now that sounds like a good time, doesn't it?

And I was actually going to make a King Cake for King's Day, but that's on hold for the time being.  Grrr.

Ew....that stinks. I guess we all have our own version of pregnancy complaints, huh? You're pregancy is SO different than mine, although maybe not really all that much better...

You SO do not want to have to take an iron supplement. Iron makes me & mom puke so I'm guessing you wouldn't like it much either. I even have to get vitamins for "mature" adults because they are iron-free.
